The traditional home-buying experience involves purchasing the land and the home together. Finding the house of your dreams in the perfect location can seem impossible. At Red Door Homes, we make both a reality for East Tennessee residents.
Make a Trip to Our Showroom
Whether you're building your first home or your forever home, start by scheduling a time to visit our showroom in Knoxville, TN. The showroom highlights a range of styles and finishes for our custom homes, so you can start visualizing your dream home. Take the first step by contacting us to schedule an appointment.
If you don't have land, we can recommend a reputable local realtor familiar with our unique house plans. If you have land, we will conduct a complimentary lot evaluation to ensure your chosen floor plan is compatible. After thoroughly assessing the site, we'll provide a cost estimate. We go the extra mile to ensure you're making a good investment in building your own home.
Select and Finalize Your Floorplan
We offer a variety of unique house plans with multiple elevations available for each home. Plus, you can explore a range of additional features and upgrades. We empower every homeowner to customize our existing floorplans to fit their individual needs. Explore a range of additional features and upgrades for each of our beautiful homes.
We offer a free cost estimate for the floor plan and upgrades you select for your new home. This will assist you in aligning your plan, your budget, and your dream.
Before your new home construction can begin, you must sign a purchase agreement outlining the details of your home, including the price. Red Door knows how important these documents are for a sale to proceed smoothly, so we write them clearly, accurately, and diligently.
With the financing in place, the selections made, and the pre-construction meeting completed, you are free to sit back, relax, and let us handle the rest.
Red Door Homes of East Tennessee offers homeowners a warranty on each of our beautiful homes. We have a long-standing relationship with the Professional Warranty Service Corporation (PWC), one of the largest insurance organizations in the country.
We provide each of our custom home buyers with an express, 10-year limited warranty. In the unlikely event that we can't perform our obligations under the warranty, our insurer will assume responsibility for our performance – at no cost to you. Most other insured warranty programs require a consumer deductible, requiring you to pay even if the repair is covered.
Our insurer, Zurich North America, is the strongest in the industry, with an "A+" rating by AM Best, so you can feel confident knowing your home is protected. Additionally, our warranty is transferable to a new owner upon the sale of your home and includes binding arbitration to settle disputes quickly and without excessive expense.
There are three distinct home protection warranty periods:
Year 1: Workmanship and materials defects as defined by the warranty document.
Year 2: Major systems (exclusive of appliances and items of equipment) including wiring, piping, ductwork, and specified structural elements.
(Note: The builder is responsible for making all warranted repairs in years one and two, however, there is insurance up to the original sales price of the home to make those repairs in the event the builder is unwilling or unable to perform his warranty obligations).
Years 3-10: The builder warrants the home against covered structural failures. The insurer assumes the builder's warranty obligations during this period.
